'Irish pixie' adds some stardust to NY catwalks

 SheinDress backless prom dresses YOUNG Irish model Laura O'Grady is taking an even bigger slice from the Big Apple.The Dublin teenager has flown back to New York after impressing model bosses with her quirky look.
Laura, who spent a lot of time Stateside last year, was flagged as one to watch by fashion magazine Elle and this week another British publication referred to her as the "next big model".
She is now signed to three different agencies in the world's biggest fashion capitals of London, New York and Paris.
A native of Castleknock, Laura will spend the next few weeks attending photoshoots and castings for the latest New York fashion week next month.
She is also likely to walk the spring editions of the London and Paris fashion weeks this year.
Laura, who walked into the office at Select while on a trip to London and was signed on the spot, said she is more suited to the catwalk.
"I am definitely more of a runway/editorial model, based on my look," she told the Herald.
"Anything high fashion is really up my street and is something I have a really strong passion for."
PRESTIGIOUS
The 19-year-old was home for Christmas but returned to the US this week where she is living in an apartment with other young models.
During September's Paris Fashion Week, Laura achieved what most models would kill for when she walked for one of the world's most prestigious fashion labels -- Saint Laurent.
The feat came in her first year as a full-time model and just months after she completed her Leaving Cert last summer.
The young Dubliner enjoyed her first taste of London Fashion Week in 2012 and last year had the honour of opening the show for top designer Bora Aksu.
The model, who is now based in London, is often referred to as the "Irish pixie" due to her pale complexion, green eyes and small features.
She was discovered by model scout Anne Morgan when she entered a modelling competition in Dundrum in 2010 at the age of 15
"The first thing I noticed about Laura, apart from her completely unique look, was her incredible knowledge of the industry," said Anne.
It was decided that her "international look" was best suited for the catwalk overseas and she was signed by Select Model Management in London in 2012.
She is now also signed to Supreme Management in New York and Paris agency Women.
